Thrumster Station

Thrumster Station was a short-lived light-rail stop between Wick and Lybster in Scotland’s county of Caithness—known enigmatically as the “Land Beyond the Highlands.” Opened at the dawn of the twentieth century, the stop was terminated in the spring of 1944, along with all of the other stations along the same line. The building, however, remains in good shape thanks to a restoration bankrolled by the National Lottery.
