Despite its small footprint, the island city of Singapore has swiftly risen to become one of the most successful cities in the world. This achievement can be partially credited to its strategic location that has made it one of the most prosperous international trading ports. Today, Singapore is home to a skyline of futuristic architecture, boasting the latest modern design has to offer. Many of the structures incorporate unique greenspace that provides the city with an appearance of a living ecosystem rather than a concrete jungle. Cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority in the small country, so it is no wonder that they also have some of the best street food in the world with stalls having been known to receive their own Michelin Stars - completely unheard of until Singapore proved that delicious food doesn’t have to come with an exorbitant cost!
