Egeskov Castle
This floating castle appears to be from an enchanted fable, but in actuality it is Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle.
Rotterdam’s Art-Nouveau style Witte Huis (or White House) was built in 1898. The building stands 43 meters (141 feet) tall and is the first hoogbouw (literally: high-rise building) in Europe at 10 stories high. “Storied” is the perfect word for this building, as it’s an apt adjective to apply well to its history, too! Witte Huis was one of the only buildings in central Rotterdam that survived Germany’s bombing campaigns during WWII. Oh, if those ten floors could talk…
