The Punta Carena Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located on the island of Capri on a bluff with the same name, about 3 kilometers southwest of Anacapri. The pink and white lighthouse has been active since 1867.
The structure is composed of an octagonal prism brick tower with lantern and gallery above a two-story building that houses the light’s keeper.
The lighthouse has a rotating signal that emits white light flashes every 3 seconds. With a range of 25 nautical miles it is defined as an ‘offshore lighthouse’.
