Constructed in 1928, this classic Art Deco-inspired structure is home to both the mayor’s and City Council’s offices. Its 32 floors peak at 454 feet tall, making it the tallest base-isolated structure in the world—designed to sustain minimal damage and remain functional even after an 8.2 magnitude earthquake.
