This Singaporean stadium in the city of Bishan was built in 1998 to serve as the home pitch for the Lion City Sailors football club, Singapore’s premier professional football team.

Since its founding, the so-called Bishan Stadium has hosted a wide array of professional sports matches, including the Asian Football Confederation Cup tournament and the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics.

Managed by the Singapore Sports Council, this stadium can seat over 6,000 spectators. Situated next to the field is an indoor sports facility that hosts badminton, table tennis and gymnastics competitions.

Unlike many other stadiums of similar prestige, this facility is open to the public every day provided that it is not booked for an exclusive event. Between professional football matches, locals of Bishan can jog around the track or play pick-up football games on the pitch between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
