If the Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh gives off a chic vibe, that may not be a coincidence! Fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent bought and restored the garden in the 1980s. He wanted to keep it open to the public while preserving the garden’s original style and flavor. The garden houses a “desert mirage” made up of 300 plant species originating from five continents. But the beauty of Jardin Majorelle doesn’t stop with its worldly flora: it also contains a bright blue art deco studio, which houses the Musée Berbère and its 600 artifacts. On the property visitors can also find a book and photography shop, courtyards, and a café. This garden is Morocco’s most popular tourist attraction — for good reason!
