Niseko is a town in Hokkaido, Japan, that is revered and sought out for its quality of powder snow, accumulating here like a wig in the style of Oompa Loompas or George Washington, with cascading cotton-candy esque curls.
Within Japan, Niseko has been well known as a powder destination for decades, but the caliber of its fluffy flurries has only recently become known internationally.
After a day of skiing, it’s time to relax into Niseko’s onsen, or hot springs, which offer a welcome soak while snowflakes swirl, restyling your cabin’s coiffure for the morning.
