Midsummer Common

This adorable red rocket unfortunately isn’t about to take off into outer space, but rather it was apart of Midsummer Common’s “Place in Space” exhibit in 2022. Channeling children’s wonderlike awe and real-life NASA astronauts, “Place in Space” was one of Midsummer Common’s many family-friendly exhibitions. Bordering the River Cam, the Common sits across from Cambridge University’s boathouses. The Common is also the annual host of Cambridge’s largest free entertainment festival “Strawberry Fair.” Whether you’re visiting for a trip around the sun, free music, or just a scenic walk, the Midsummer Common is sure to be a delight.
