Egeskov Castle
This floating castle appears to be from an enchanted fable, but in actuality it is Europe's best preserved Renaissance water castle.

Just across from the 11th-century Lewes Castle in East Sussex sits Marston Barrett, an independent jeweler that has been shining for 87 years. The shop was purchased in 1938 by Henry Marston Barrett, who worked at the shop until he was 85 years old. His son joined the business in 1966, ensuring the family legacy continued to sparkle.
For more than half a century, Marston Barrett has prided itself on being a cut above the rest—an independent jeweler offering a refreshing alternative to high street chains and look-alike showrooms filled with uninspired stock dictated by powerful buying groups and major watch companies. Marston Barrett offers a large range of antique, vintage, and second-hand jewellery as well as silver, watches, and clocks.
Their setting at the top of Lewes High Street couldn’t be more fitting: surrounded by a cluster of independent shops, the area has been nationally recognized as having one of the lowest percentages of chain stores in the country. In a town where independence is treasured, Marston Barrett remains a true gem.
