Did you know there is an Accidentally Wes Anderson Art Exhibition taking place at the Philbrook Museum of Art as we speak? You better believe it! Not only will your eyes be delighted by photos from our book and the AWA Community at-large, but your ears will be in for a treat as well.

The fantastic Philbrook has scored Mark Mothersbaugh to curate a one-of-a-kind soundtrack that can only be heard inside the gallery! Known for his magical role in the rock band, DEVO, Mothersbaugh is also the man behind the soundtracks of Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Life Aquatic. For the Philbrook exhibition, he has pulled together a number of unreleased, never-before-heard tunes from previous Wes Anderson film scores to enhance your auditory experience as you peruse the pictures. So if you find yourself in Tulsa, Oklahoma before January 31st, 2022, be sure to stop by and take it all in.

An AWA art exhibition wouldn’t be complete without the help of the Community. The Philbrook Museum put out a call to action for AWA-esque photos of the surrounding town of Tulsa. Both local and out-of-town photographers picked up their cameras and got to shooting – and a select few were added into the Philbrook Exhibition!

Be sure to check them out on your way in to the gallery, and there are even a few prints left to take home with you for those at-home galleries.
