The Palace of San Telmo has served many purposes throughout its 342-year history. Initially built in 1682, it first served as a naval university to train orphaned children to become experienced sailors. The palace itself then graduated to its new purpose in 1849, becoming the private residence of Antoine, Duke of Monpensier. Today, dukes and duchesses no longer grace the halls of the palace, but it does serve as the seat of the presidency of the Andalusian Autonomous Government.

The Palace of San Telmo is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Seville, Spain — which is saying quite a lot, especially considering the city is home to 9 picturesque filming locations found in Game of Thrones!
