Hello 👋🏻 I’m Soo a photographer from Edinburgh. I love architecture, which our capital city is renowned for. Following a project I was photographing at Glenogle Baths, the Victorian pool I swam in as a child, I was reintroduced to the beauty of the architecture and the serenity in these spaces. I began documenting other historic pools around Edinburgh with the intention of capturing their striking architecture and the stillness housed within, Since then, I have travelled to photograph pools across Europe, including a collection of pools in Paris for an exhibition called Into The Blue, Japan to photograph a series of traditional bathhouses for a collection, At The Onsen. I’ve recently returned from India where I’ve been photographing a new series called ‘Indian summer’
I am inspired a lot by film and cinematography. I find the meticulous work of Wes Anderson absolutely mesmerising; I LOVE the way he uses colour. I also love the work of Canadian painter Alex Colville.
