Though this Hi-Spy Viewing Machine looks like R2-D2’s cousin who rolled off the Star Wars set and made his way to the rocky edge of Reykjavík, this family of observation scopes wasn’t manufactured until 1991.

Its brethren can be found looking out over other scenic spaces, through two eyes or one. Admired for their robust durability, their heavy-duty structure enables them to sustain intense usage, over time and throughout the extreme seasons endured in places such as Iceland.
