The Leela Palace Jaipur opened in 2021, its architecture paying homage to centuries-old Rajputana and Mughal heritage with gleaming white façades, intricate jaalis, and silver-trimmed chhatris. The Mohan Mahal dining room features 3.5 lakh hand-cut thikri mirrors that catch and scatter light like a chandelier made of stars. A marble fountain pays tribute to the fountains of the Red Fort, commissioned by Shah Jahan. A temple inspired by Amer Fort architecture depicts nine avatars of Goddess Durga in pure silver on each jharokha. The banquet hall opens onto an expansive lawn capable of hosting events for over 700 guests. With approximately 200 rooms, the palace sits outside the city bustle in serene surroundings, where a nightly Rajasthani folk music and dance gala unfolds on the lawns at sunset. One contemporary palace. Zero shortcuts in the details.
