Carrara, in Tuscany, is known not only for its iconic white and blue-gray marble but also as a seaside resort. With all of Tuscany’s inland offerings, you may not realize it has more than 250 miles of coastline where individual beach clubs, also known as lidos, section off areas for their guests.

Typically connected to restaurants and bars, these seaside resorts offer a full-service experience where sandy patrons can enjoy a long, leisurely lunch before returning to their color-coded umbrellas and beach chairs or taking a dip in the Ligurian Sea.
